Jon Cheney
Founder & CEO
Jon Cheney has spent 20+ years at the intersection of technology and human potential. As a software executive and lifelong technologist, he watched the AI revolution unfold from inside the organizations it was transforming — and what he saw concerned him. Leaders were paralyzed or racing to automate without thinking about the human consequences, while consultants handed out strategy decks and left.

Jon founded the General AI Proficiency Institute in early 2025 on that conviction. His vision: an organization that doesn't just teach people how to use AI tools, but installs real AI capability inside companies — so their people's critical thinking, judgment, adaptability, and purposeful creation matter more than ever, not less.
